Deep River
Deep River flows into the sea just to the east of Broke Inlet. Deep River is a subject previosly explored by Dewi Hyde. More images and descriptive text on this subject in the very near future
This Deep River work and the newer work from Broke Inlet feel like they are moving me in a very new direction. However, my images continue to be produced with the traditional means of 5x4" camera, black and white film and fine silver gelatine printing. What will make this work different is my approach which has changed in the ten years I have withdrawn from landscape work following my forest desctuction images of the 1990s. The new work with water is calmer and more meditative
