Includes female black and white nude photographs, 1981 - 1993. I prefer the term naked portrait to nude, but for web clarity I retain the word nude. I also prefer the word women to models for the women who collaborate with me in these projects

These black and white photographs are from the period I was in Hobart, Tasmania; Adelaide, South Australia and Fremantle. The bulk of the work photographed was made in my Fremantle studio between 1985 and 1993

Some of these images show pubic hair. However, there is no detail shown on this website. This is a concious decision

This photograph took several years to make, from the first idea to the re-growing of her armpit hair

This photograph is of someone who loved swimming and dancing. Some have compared this image to Max Dupain's SUNBAKER - I feel the image deals with other things, although both are formalist images made on beaches.
